So without further ado, here is my wish list for the WWDC 2017 keynote: iOS 11

This week is all about developers, and as a developer myself, I cannot wait to find out what Apple has in store for us in new software capabilities, APIs as well as potential exciting new hardware. This year is already looking to be quite different since they are moving back to where they began in San Jose, instead of Moscone West in San Francisco which had been there go-to location since 2003. It's that time of the year again! Among all of Apple annual events, WWDC is probably my favorite.

Other reports suggest that Apple’s smart speaker will resemble a “fat” version of the Google Home speaker, with mesh fabric covering the majority of the device and a concave top similar to that of the Mac Pro. A standalone Siri speaker has been heavily rumored in recent months, with the idea being that this will allow Apple to compete with similar smart speakers such as the Amazon Echo and Google Home.Īccording to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple smart speaker will offer up high-end audio thanks to “one woofer and seven tweeters.” It will also boast computing power similar to the iPhone 6s, be aimed at the high-end entertainment market, and carry a higher price than the $179 Amazon Echo. Whether Apple announces this at WWDC is a toss-up, but if they do it will be the most talked-about announcement of Monday’s keynote.
